Serkan Özgen was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1972. He started his music life with classical guitar lessons in elementary school years. While he was studying in Northern Cyprus University,
he founded and headed the University Music Club where he helped a lot of amateur musicians to improve themselves. He organized and participated as a musician in many concerts.
In those years he performed with “Feedback” in various bars and music clubs. He was graduated from the University of Nothern Cyprus, Tourism and Hotel Management in 1993 and
Business Administration in 1996. In the same year he returned to Istanbul and joined the band “Egoist”. After their first album, he performed in some well-known music clubs like Kemancı,
Rock House and Hayal Kahvesi and went on a summer tour with “Bulutsuzluk Özlemi”.
After the tour he formed the band “Ceremony” with “Barbi”. On that period he worked with
Ömer Özgür in “Jingle Jungle Music Production Company”. In 1998 he joined the band “Af” and on that summer he formed the orchestra named “ORG” for Cem Özer's summer shots in Bodrum. When “Af” was disbanded, he formed another one “Cornflakes” and also played with “Soda Pop” after completing his military service 1999. Finally he formed “Repertuar Köpekleri” with Türkay and performed together more than two years. He joined the group “Yüksek Sadakat” in 2003. He is playing acoustic and electro-guitars, doing back vocals for “Yüksek Sadakat”. Beside his musical performances, he is still teaching music in Kemerköy HEV, Yüzyıl Işıl Schools, La Fontaine Pre-school and gives private guitar lessons.

A band that you’ll follow with fidelity…
Yuksek Sadakat launched their first record named as the same with the band’s name in 2006, with the label of DMC. The song “Belki Ustumuzden Bir Kus Gecer” became a hit and moved up to number one on the national radio stations, even before the album took its place on the market. According to the researches of Nielsen, the song became the most popular song in all Turkish radio stations. In the album, all lyrics and music were created by Kutlu Ozmakinaci and all songs were arranged by the band.
Yuksek Sadakat - trying to tell the facts of life like no one did before and combining the different periods and sub species of Rock Music with the traditional Turkish motives- got a wide group of fans in a very short time. With their first record, Yuksek Sadakat created a large interest of the Turkish media and showed up in various liveTV shows.
The band gave more than 50 concerts in 2006 and joined various festivals including Rock’n Coke which they shared the same stage with Muse and Placebo. They were awarded 10 times in different organizations.
In March 2008, Yuksek Sadakat released their second album “Katil ve Maktul”, with the label of DMC.
The band is still one of the most popular bands in Turkey, taking place in countless concerts and tours around Turkey and Europe as well.
